Hi Marc,

It's nice to know you're my fourth degree cousin. So, where are you living and work connected? You asked about my work and living conditions here in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Well, the pay is fine in terms of my standard; as to my living conditions, it is also good. My only consolation is I am able to see my family twice a year. They come here once a year during my kids' summer vacation, and I go to Ormoc City once a year for my annual vacation. What a price to pay, but one has to make sacrifices for the family's welfare.

I saw the updates. Would it be alright with you to include my siblings, children and only niece in the listing? If it's alright, then the listing goes like this:

1. Ramon Borromeo Parama, wife-Maria Julita Galano Polangcus. Children: Mark Polangcus Parama, Kathryn Polangcus Parama, Kyle Polangcus Parama

2. Corazon Borromeo Parama, husband-General Julius F. Yarcia (Ret.). Children: Mary Jacqueline Rose Socorro Parama Yarcia (my only niece from my side).

3. Arthur Borromeo Parama, bachelor and no children

Regarding my previous request for a listing of the 16 children of Juan Rosa Borromeo and Paulina Veloso, any chance you can include in your updates? Dr. Juan Veloso Borromeo is the youngest of the 16, during their time, their family was considered the biggest in Cebu City.

According to ancestral stories, the whole block of the University of Visayas located in Colon Street, Cebu City was owned and residence of Juan Rosa Borromeo. I saw an old black & white photo of the "16" when I was a kid everytime our family goes for summer vacation in Cebu City (when I was a kid, we were residing in Manila). During vacation, we stay in the family house located along Sanciangko and Juan Luna Streets. Together with my first degree cousins, we play in our grandfather's dental/optical clinic located in the same place. I was able to attend one of the Borromeo Reunions (I was probably 10 yrs. old at that time) held in the residence of Tita Mimi Borromeo Trosdal located in Ramos Street.

Marc, it is nice to reminisce the good times of the past, when the Borromeo's were the BORROMEO's. I'm proud and privileged to have partaken, experienced and lived with the previous two generations.

I will ask my mother and aunts if they can still recall the names of the "16" in their chronological order. If I can get in touch with Tito Isidro Borromeo when I take my annual vacation, I am sure he will be able to give me a good information of the "16". By the way, I noticed some familiar names of the "16" listed in the genealogy, perhaps all of them are in the listing, it just so happened I only know of some. Anyway, I am after knowing the exact "16".

Best regards and best of health to you and your family.

Thank you,

My name is Engr. Ramon Borromeo Parama, eldest son of the Julian Reguero Parama (Deceased) and Virginia Poliquit Borromeo. Currently, I am working as one of the Senior Civil Engineers of the Architecture & Building Construction Division of the Saudi Binladin Group (ABCD-SBG) here in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

I salute you on your patience and perseverance for tracking the Borromeo Family genealogy. Such result of your endeavor has confirmed my mother's (including her siblings) stories of how big the family was and is. That our lineage belong to the "Daut" Borromeo's, and how proud they are for being part of a big family, respected by other prominent families of Cebu City, and revered as a family of professionals. My mother use to say that Dr. Juan Veloso Borromeo was the first dentist of his time in Cebu City.

I would like to request if you could provide a complete list of the 16 children of Juan Rosa Borromeo and Paulina Veloso Borromeo (the couples belong to the sixth generation of your listing). My grandfather Dr. Juan Veloso Borromeo, is the 16th of the aforementioned couples. As added information to the family genealogy, the children of my late grandparents Dr. Juan Veloso Borromeo (Dentist/Optometrist) and Mrs. Rosula Poliquit Borromeo are: Dr. Paulina Borromeo Villamor-Deceased, Mrs. Teresita Borromeo Canete, Mrs. Virginia Borromeo Parama (my mother), Dr. Lourdes Borromeo Cui-Deceased, Mrs. Catalina Borromeo Dumayas, and Dr. Rodolfo "Rudy" Poliquit Borromeo (residing in Canada).

I don't know if my name as Ramon and being a Civil Engineer is a coincidence, but my aunts used to urge me to take up Civil Engineering so as to be the same as the late Engr. Ramon Veloso Borromeo (one of the elder brothers of my grandfather), a successful Civil Engineer during his time. Proud to say, I am one of the favorites of my aunts.

Again, my praises and thanks for your endeavor.
